Terms and Conditions

Checking In

At the time of check in, full payment will be collected for the month, key deposits and cleaning deposit. Keys will not be given until full payment is made. Payments can be made by cash or card. We do not accept bank transfers or direct deposit. At check out all deposit refunds will be made via eftpos. Cash refunds are not possible.


Alcohol, Drugs and Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in any room, premises, and stairwells, on any balcony, inside the

building or car park area. Smoking is only permitted outside, a distance away from the building.

Alcohol is not permitted under any circumstances on the premises, including outdoors.

The use of drugs, being under the influence of or in possession of any illegal substances in the building is strictly forbidden. Under no circumstances are any illegal substances permitted within the complex.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in eviction.


Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment of other guests or staff will not be tolerated under any circumstances and will result in eviction. Sexual harassment includes:

• Subjecting another person to an unsolicited act of physical intimacy

• Making an unsolicited demand or request (whether directly or by implication) for sexual favours

  from the other person

• Making a remark with sexual connotations relating to the other person

• Engaging in any other unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature in relation to the other person


Verbal and Physical Abuse 

Verbal or physical abuse is not tolerated and may result in eviction.

Disciplinary Action and Evictions

Minor issues such as mess in common areas and noise complaints will be discussed with reception staff and may result in a written warning. Multiple warnings may lead to eviction. Serious issues that will result in eviction include sexual harassment, verbal or physical abuse, possession of drugs or alcohol and smoking in the room. Evictions are without refund of any accommodation charges paid for the month in advance.


Behaviour 

Guest behaviour should not interfere with other guests' living conditions or personal security.  

Guests should treat staff and other guests with courtesy and respect at all times. 

Unacceptable behaviour will be discussed with reception staff and may result in disciplinary action.


Noise

Noise after 10pm must be minimal. Out of consideration for other guests, noise should be moderate at all times.

Property Damage 

Reasonable care should be taken when using the facilities. General wear and tear is accepted. Intentional damage or damage caused by negligent behaviour or misuse will be at the cost of the guest.


After Hours Assistance 

Office hours are between 9:30am – 5:30pm (subject to change). There is currently no after hours assistance. Please remember to keep your key with you at all times, if you get locked out no one will be able to assist until morning.

Guests that accidentally lock their keys inside their room outside of office hours can contact a locksmith to provide access to the room to retrieve the keys.  This will not be reimbursed by Laneway Lodge.

Lost Keys
For security reasons the building entry fob will need to be cancelled and reissued and the door lock and keys replaced by a locksmith. The replacement cost is at the expense of the Guest and will not be reimbursed by Laneway Lodge.

Please note the building entry fob cannot be replaced by the locksmiths. Please contact reception staff during office hours for cancellation and reissue of lost fob.


Visitors

Visitors are permitted during office hours (9:30am - 5:30pm).


Room Occupancy and Unregistered Guests

Guests must adhere to the maximum occupancy of their room. Visitors or unregistered guests are not permitted to occupy the room at any time, including if a guest is away for a period of time.


Payments and Securing Room in Advance 

Rooms must be paid for a month in advance. To reserve the room for the next month a 25% non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit will be deducted from the total when payment is made. Payment can be made anytime from 7 days before, and no later than 3:00pm on the due date. If a guest chooses not to pay the booking deposit, the room will be available for other guests to reserve. Payment is per calendar month and can only be taken for 1 month at a time. All payments are non-refundable.


Bicycle/E-bike Storage

Bicycles may be stored in the designated area on the ground floor. Laneway Lodge is not responsible for any loss or damage. Guests are permitted to store one bicycle per person which must be labelled with your name and room number. Riding inside is not permitted. All guests are required to enter and exit through the main Laneway Lodge door and MUST NOT use the fire exit door except in an emergency. Failure to comply will result in the removal of your bicycle.


Interior Rooms

Guests checking into an interior room accept that the room has internal facing windows and is therefore subject to significant noise from people entering/leaving the building and offices on the ground floor.


Rate Increases

Rates are subject to change. Guests will be notified of any rate increase 28 days in advance.

 

Vacating the Property
Guests must make a final inspection appointment with reception at least 24 hours prior to checking out.

Appointments are available from 10 am-12:30 pm and 1:45 pm-3 pm daily. If you need to check-out outside of these hours, please contact reception staff to make arrangements in advance.

Check out must be completed on the check-out date by 3pm.

 In order to receive a full refund, reception staff will be ensuring that the following has been completed:

· Remove all personal belongings

· Clean and wipe down all shelving, desk top, window, window blind, walls, wall skirting board, bedside table drawers, mirror, wardrobe

· Empty and wipe the fridge and clean all shelving

· Vacuum the floor & under the bed (vacuum can be borrowed from reception)

· Empty bin and all rubbish removed

· Empty and clean kitchen locker

· Clean the bathroom (shower, toilet, sink and floor) for ensuite & apartment
